Shipping

It's what's on the inside that counts:

We get sent a lot of packaging here at Modern Craft! We are firm believers in reduce, reuse, recycle, and so we aim to cut down the amount of virgin packaging we buy, by reusing packaging that is sent to us by suppliers and other parties. This may mean that the outer packaging may not look as pristine as you may be used to, but rest assured that your purchase has been safely and securely wrapped inside. Where it is necessary to buy virgin packaging, we choose only biodegradable, recyclable or recycled packaging. The cost of shipping does not cover our packaging costs, so we hope you understand that this method keeps costs down for you, us and the planet!

Shipping within the UK:

Orders will usually leave Modern Craft within 24 hours of being placed. Our standard shipping rate is £4. This is a trackable delivery service with Royal Mail, and should be with you in 2-3 working days. Faster services are available for you to choose from at the checkout.

If you have any specific requests, please contact us at hello@shopmoderncraft.com with your needs and we will work to accommodate them.

No Free Shipping?

We occasionally run free shipping promotions to make life easier for our customers, but long-term free shipping is unsustainable for all but the biggest businesses (and even then it's not sustainable - they just chalk it up as a loss). We try to keep our shipping costs as fair as possible: we charge only what the delivery service charge (and sometimes less in the case of heavy parcels to ensure affordability for our customers), and do not make any money off of the amount we charge you. We absorb the cost of packaging ourselves.
